A blog about a flock of budgies: Sutcliffe, the white and blue pater familias, originally a budgie bin budgie who has come a million miles, Mary Ann, a completely yellow (lutein) shelter budgie who is a lovely plump diva, and their two wild type (green) offspring, Boo, and Magoo. We also have a cat, Shania (added much more recently, 7-09).

The people sound like excellent friends for the flock. I am sure that the budgies will be excited to be in their new home!
BTW, wouldn't they be in an aviary, rather than a kennel? To me, kennel sounds like accommodation for dogs only. Budgies could visit, but not for an extended period.
good point re kennels! The word "kennel", in fact, comes from the word "canine", see http://www.thefreedictionary.com/kennel . However, note also that they say for synonyms, see "flock". Technically, the Avian Animal Hospital refers to the service as "boarding". I hope the budgies are really having some great conversations with their new friends! If i were truly free, I would have a giant budgie flock.
